  • Emergency Blood Transfusion System – This system was invented by Dr. Otu Oviemo Ovadje (Rtd), a Brigadier General in the Army.
  • First Solid Fuel Rocket – Shehu Saleh Balami (26) invented and launched a solid-fuel rocket at the new Kaduna Millennium City Road in Kaduna State in 2008. He is a graduate of Mechanical engineering at the Federal University of technology Minna, Niger State.
  • Fastest computer – The world fastest and most efficient computer was actually invented by a Nigerian in the person of Dr. Philip Emeagwali.

These are significant Patents that show Nigerians are capable of contributing to the world of inventions and creating solutions that matter.

This then begs the question, how many more inventions can be generated from Nigeria or Africa to address some of the issues and challenges the world is facing and

can these inventions be protected so that the owers are adequated rewarded.
